Privacy Policy

Smart Copy Clipboard is designed to run locally on your Mac. This policy explains what the app handles and what the developer receives.

Information the app handles

Smart Copy Clipboard can read clipboard content while clipboard monitoring is enabled. This may include text, links, email addresses, phone numbers, colors, images, file references, and other content you copy. The app may also process selected screen regions for OCR or QR/barcode scanning when you start those tools.

Local storage

Clipboard history, pinned items, preferences, and access state are stored locally on your Mac using Apple system storage. The app does not operate a server for collecting clipboard history.

Network use

Smart Copy Clipboard uses Apple StoreKit to load products, verify purchases, restore purchases, and validate App Store access. The app may make lightweight trusted-time checks against Apple endpoints and this website to help validate the free trial. Translation features may use Apple system translation services where available.

Data shared with the developer

The developer does not receive your clipboard history, OCR results, scanned codes, pinned items, or translated text through Smart Copy Clipboard. If you contact support, you choose what information to include in your message.

Apple data and purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple. Apple may provide transaction status required to unlock lifetime access or restore purchases. Apple's own privacy policies apply to App Store purchases and account handling.

Children's privacy

Smart Copy Clipboard is a productivity tool and is not directed to children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

This policy may be updated when the app changes or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
